Eight museums in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, reopened on March 17 -- with a host of special measures in place to protect enthusiasts from the novel coronavirus, according to museum officials.
They said the city on the day reopened the Shenyang Palace Museum, the 9.18 Historical Museum, the Shenyang Exhibition Hall of the Former Site of the Tribunal for the Trial of Japanese War Criminals, Marshal Zhang's Mansion Museum, the Shenyang Financial Museum, the Exhibition Hall of the Former Site of the Northeast Army Lecture Hall, Shenyang Xinle Ancient Ruins Museum and the Shenyang Khan Palace Relics Exhibition Hall.
Due to epidemic prevention and control measures, visitors need make advance real-name appointments and show their ID cards before entering. They also need to take body temperature measurements and wear face masks during the visit.
In addition, the numbers of visitors are being strictly limited by the museums.
