To ensure cultural and tourism sites in Shenyang -- capital of Northeast China's Liaoning province -- reopen smoothly in the wake of the novel coronavirus epidemic, the Shenyang culture, tourism, radio, and television bureau posted a series of guidelines that include 70 instructions, according to local officials.

The guideline covers the principles, preparations before reopening, management of staff after reopening, matters needing attention in operations and supervision and inspections.

According to the guideline, the city's cultural and tourism sites can reopen gradually when they meet the standards and requirements of epidemic prevention and control.

With regard to preparations, all units that resume operations are advised to establish a work group for epidemic prevention and control and to formulate prevention plans and emergency plans.

All units should organize face masks, gloves, thermodetectors for staff, as well as hand sanitizers and disinfectants. Sufficient designated dustbins should be installed, especially special dustbins for discarded face masks.

Also, temporary isolation places should be arranged and the health condition of staff should be checked before they returning to work in batches, according to the guidelines.

On staff, the guidelines stipulate that employees should have their body temperatures measured daily and they must wear face masks.

Training on epidemic prevention and control and psychological counseling should also be offered to staff, according to the guidelines.

Under the guidelines, all visitors to the premises are required to book ahead with real names online -- and they must wear face masks during the entire visit, while receiving body temperature measurements before entering.

Tourists and visitors should only enter scenic sports in batches and are encouraged to keep a distance between themselves of more than 1.5 meters.

Places should be disinfected every day, according to the guidelines.

In addition, officials should evaluate the epidemic prevention and control conditions of their units and make improvements.
