Shenyang's cultural, tourism venues reopen gradually

Cultural and tourism sites, star-rated hotels and travel agencies in Shenyang -- capital of Northeast China's Liaoning province, have started to gradually reopen to customers in batches since Feb 21, according to a recent news conference held.

Outdoor A-level tourist attractions began opening their doors again on Feb 21, including Beiling Park, Dongling Park, the Shenyang Botanical Garden, Shenshuiwan Park and the Shenyang national defense education theme park.

Star-rated hotels and travel agencies are being encouraged to reopen with thorough protective measures in place, the officials told the news conference on Feb 20.

Before the start of March, the city will appropriately reopen libraries, cultural centers, art galleries, science places and other public cultural services and venues. Visitors need to do online registration before visits.

From March 1, more populous recreation venues such as KTV and gaming centers, internet bars and performing art venues will gradually reopen.

Officials said that the openings will depend on the status of the outbreak and the city will continue to launch digital culture and tourism resources, such as online museums, digital libraries and online reading activities.
