Popular virtual reality expo on Tang Dynasty launched

Jointly launched by the Liaoning Provincial Museum, Liaoning academy of culture and art and ln.people.com.cn, the virtual reality version of an exhibition on the Tang Dynasty (618-907) opened its doors for business, according to the organizers.

They said the exhibition Meet the Tang Dynasty Again was launched recently to enrich people's cultural experiences, especially students' winter vacation.

The exhibition was displayed at the Liaoning Provincial Museum last year, showcasing around 100 exhibits from the Tang Dynasty, including 38 national first grade cultural relics.

Officials said the exhibition was the largest ever exhibition in the world showcasing the prosperity of the Tang Dynasty through paintings and calligraphy pieces.

Now the VR version allows people to review the spectacular exhibition at home, the organizers said.

Visitors are able to view the exhibits clearly at the virtual gallery, read about them and listen to their stories through audios.

Officials said that it will help Liaoning promote its culture and enrich people's cultural lives.
