Bus timetable adjustments for novel coronavirus prevention

Shenyang, capital of northeastern Liaoning province, adjusted its urban public transport timetable from Feb 4 to 9, in order to prevent and control the novel coronavirus, according to news from the city's transport agency.

All tourist bus routes have been out of service.

A total of 144 lines will be still in service from 6 am to 7 pm and residents can take buses every 20 minutes during morning and evening peak hours, as well as every 40 minutes at other times.

Officials said that the move would help sever virus transmission channels, curb the spread of the outbreak and help ensure people's safety and health.
