Shenbei New Area boosts tourism sector

Shenbei New Area in Shenyang, capital city of Northeast china’s Liaoning province, is making great efforts to build itself into a national-level tourism demonstration area, according to local reports.

During this year’s evaluation, Shenbei New Area ranked third in Liaoning province -- and the area was also listed as one of Liaoning’s five tourism functional zones.

In addition, four tourist attractions in the area -- including Seven Star Ocean World and Shenyang Tanbo Art Farm (Dao Meng Kong Jian) -- all passed acceptance of the 4A level tourist attraction evaluation by municipal experts, according to officials.

Next, the area will improve its work, sorting more than 200 copies of files, improving more than 10 tourist signs and three toilets, building tourist information centers at Shenyang Fantawild Adventure and Shenyang Guai Po scenic area, opening new tourism routes and more.

The Shenbei New Area is also working to broaden the tourist market in and out Liaoning province, to boost its tourism sector, officials said.
