Shenyang promotes healthy development of e-sports

The 2019 Shenyang E-sports carnival was held at the cultural and sports center in Huanggu district of Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on Dec 7 -- where the Association of Shenyang E-sports was also launched.

The carnival was hosted by the Association of Shenyang E-sports and JD Games+, under the guidance of Shenyang cyberspace administration and receiving support from the publicity department and culture, radio and television bureau of Huanggu district.

Including e-sports contests, creative contests and forums, the event encouraged a healthy e-sports culture, especially guiding young people to cultivate healthy views on the internet and e-sports, according to the organizers.

It attracted participation of more than 500 people, including representatives from companies, media organizations, universities and colleges and social organizations, as well as e-sports fans.

They were seeking the sports’ continued development, the training of players and more -- to promote growth of the e-sports industry, the organizers said.

The newly established Association of Shenyang E-sports, a branch of the Shenyang Internet Development Federation, is engaged in promoting the healthy development of the e-sports sector and building Shenyang into a hub for e-sports in Northeast China, according to officials.
