Sunny Sanya promotes tourism in Shenyang

Sanya -- a city on the southern end of China’s Hainan Island in southern Hainan province -- had great success in promoting itself as a winter tourism destination on Nov 29 in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, local officials said.

Sanya, a well-known tropical seaside tourist city in the country, enjoys a widespread reputation for its blue sea and clear sky, pleasant sunshine and clear air -- each year attracting large numbers of visitors from across the world.

Sixty-nine percent of the city is covered by forests and the average temperature there is 26-32 degrees Celsius all year round, making it a wonderful summer tourism attraction and also an ideal destination to escape the cold winter.

Officials said that the city is currently promoting its development as an international tourist hotspot and is making preparations for hosting the 2020 Asian Beach Games.

This winter, tourist attractions, hotels and shopping malls in Sanya are offering preferential products to visitors, to attract tourists.

The city is promoting its winter tourism in more than 20 cities, including Shanghai and Jiaxing, Hangzhou, Yiwu, and Jinhua in Zhejiang province.
