Foreigners treated to dazzling gala in Shenyang

Shenyang International Friendship Gala Evening -- the fourth “Shenyang in the Eyes of Foreigners” Theme Party -- was held at the Shenyang Radio and Television Station in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on Nov 30.

It was hosted by the publicity department of the CPC Shenyang municipal committee and jointly organized by the information office of the Shenyang municipal people’s government and Shenyang Radio and Television Station.

A total of 110 foreign residents from more than 30 countries staged performances at the event, including participants from the United States, Poland, Russia, the United Kingdom, Congo, Zambia and Morocco.

They performed singing, dancing, opera, aerobatics, and more -- together with Chinese performers, showcasing international culture and traditional Chinese culture.

Performers from other countries also showcased their living and business stories in Shenyang through performances, as well as Shenyang’s unique culture, current development and their love of the city.

Organizers said the event helped display Shenyang’s attraction to foreign people, increase the city’s international popularity and profile and helped build a better international business environment.
