Shenyang, the capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, has improved its bus services in recent years, according to local authorities.
It has built a convenient, safe, confortable, environment-friendly bus system, officials said.
According to statistics, the city now has 314 bus routes. Since the beginning of 2014, the city has increased and updated 4,852 buses, making the total number of Shenyang’s regular buses reach the current 5,967, and 80 percent of them are environment-friendly vehicles.
During the past six years, Shenyang built 230.4 kilometers of lanes specially for buses, as well as 196 intersections where buses get right of way, greatly improving efficiency.
Before the end of this year, all buses that can tale payments by IC cards will offer a mobile payment service, bringing more convenience for passengers, according to officials.
