The unveiling ceremony for an art space at BMW Brilliance’s plants was held in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on Nov 12, according to local reports.

According to an announcement at the ceremony, people can visit BMW Brilliance Tiexi Plant art space free of charge on Saturday mornings from Nov 13 to the end of this year, after making an appointment online or by telephone.

From Mondays to Fridays, visitors need to pay 60 yuan ($8.55) to visit the plant, which is a national 4A-level tourist attraction.

Ma Jin, deputy director of the Shenyang culture, tourism, radio, and television bureau, said that the opening of BMW Brilliance’s art space helped showcase Shenyang’s industrial manufacturing art and represented a new cultural facility for the city.

In addition to BMW Brilliance’s art space, there are some other places in Shenyang where visitors can experience the art of industry:

First opened in May 2012, the Industrial Museum of China houses more than 1,300 industrial cultural relics, including China’s first casting manipulator and first independently-developed pipe die. It records China’s transition from a weak economy to a strong one.
