The industrial base, covering a construction area of around 10,000 square meters, is located near Shenyang Palace Museum, Marshal Zhang’s Mansion and time-honored Zhongjie Street.
It is a key project that Liaoning provincial department of culture and tourism is putting a great deal of focus on.
Officials said it has also received great support from the Liaoning Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
The base includes a gallery for Liaoning intangible cultural heritage items, a cultural exhibition center, a cultural center for Central and Eastern European countries, theaters, training centers, international exchange centers and food areas.
A range of cultural activities –– including cultural knowledge quizzes, lectures and forums on protection of intangible cultural heritage items and exhibitions –– will be held at the base, according to officials.
