A visitor views paintings on display at the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on Oct 9. An art exhibition opened there on the day. More than 170 pieces created by the academy’s retired staff are on display at the show, including oil paintings, sculptures, traditional Chinese paintings and calligraphy. The artworks depict the country’s changes and development over the past seven decades, showcasing the artists’ love for their country. It runs to Oct 13 and is free of charge to visitors. [Photo/IC]
