Shenyang Palace Museum celebrates nation’s 70th anniversary

Staff members wear the qipao -- a traditional Chinese body-hugging, one-piece dress, also known in Cantonese as the cheongsam. The Shenyang Palace Museum employees participated in a singing performance at the museum in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on Sept 23. The performance was in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Before and after the National Day, a host of celebration activities are held in Shenyang.
