International flight convention to be held in Shenyang

The 8th Shenyang Faku International Flight Convention will be held at Shenyang general aviation industrial base in Faku county in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, on Aug 16-18.

The three-day event is expecting attendance of representatives from global aircraft research and manufacturing companies, research institutions, aviation schools and universities. A total of 150,000 people are expected to participate in the convention.

The event will have two exhibition areas, one for various aircraft performances and experience activities, and another for displaying aircraft and equipment.

Advanced products such as drones, 5G VR simulators, new avionics devices and aerospace simulators will be on display.

In addition, the 2019 Shenyang International Aviation Industry Development Convention is held in Faku on Aug 15-17, during which attendees will discuss topics such as emerging aviation technologies, general aviation industrial development, unmanned system technologies, and international cooperation in the aviation sector.

The Shenyang general aviation industrial base has China’s first airspace designated especially for drones. Officials say it is accelerating the construction of a public service platform for drones, with plans to build mid and low-altitude wind tunnel laboratories, a drone testing center, a drone big data center and a drone logistics demonstration center.
