Huawei’s first AI innovation center established in Shenfu New Zone

China’s high-tech giant Huawei established its first artificial intelligence (AI) innovation center in Shenfu New Zone in Northeast China’s Liaoning province on Aug 9.

The center is a result of strategic cooperation after Huawei and the management committee of Shenfu New Zone signed an agreement on Dec 27, 2018 on developing digital service and intelligent manufacturing industries.

The center will mainly serve as a platform for incubating, developing, and showcasing AI technology. It will also help cultivate skilled workers in the field of AI.

Huawei plans to cooperate with more than 20 high-tech enterprises in Shenfu New Zone and take full advantage of the zone’s international business environment and preferential policies to help establish an entire AI industrial chain.

Huawei’s AI partners will include Iflytek Co Ltd, Liaoning Huadun Security Technology Co Ltd, Taiji Computer Co Ltd, and Shenzhen Intellifusion Technology Co Ltd.

The management committee of Shenfu New Zone has also committed to providing better services for businesses this year in a bid to cultivate important local industries.
