Tiexi stages choral concert for PRC 70th anniversary

A choral concert was staged in Tiexi district in Shenyang, Liaoning province, on March 27, to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

A dozen of songs were performed by mixed choirs, vocal ensembles and solos, including Me and My Country, Ode to Yan’an, and Song of Happy Life, which received rapturous applause from the audience.

Wang Rongwei, deputy director of the Tiexi culture, tourism and sports development center, said the event was one of a series of activities arranged by the district to celebrate the 70th anniversary.

Tiexi culture center also arranged some promotional activities, under the themes of “Me and My County” and “Hello, New Era”, to highlight the rapid development of China and the rich life of its people and encourage a drive by residents to revitalize their hometown.
