Snow blankets Shenyang Imperial Palace Museum on Feb 15. Shenyang Imperial Palace Museum was first approved to be turned into a museum in 1926 and opened to the public in 1929. In 1961, it was approved as the first group of national-level major historical and cultural sites. In July 2004, the World Heritage Committee added Shenyang Imperial Palace Museum to the representative list of World Cultural Heritage sites. Currently, it serves as a museum and research institute for the history and cultural relics of the Qing Dynasty. [Photo/IC] |
