The China (Liaoning) CEEC (central and eastern European countries) Pavilion Launching Ceremony was held in the Tiexi district of Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, on Jan 16.

More than 300 government and company representatives attended the ceremony.

Unusually, the exhibition venue will serve as a permanent designated area to promote projects and links between China and countries in Central and Eastern Europe, in fields including culture, education, tourism, and the service industry.

The exhibition areas currently display more than 1,000 categories of goods from CEEC, ranging from daily necessities such as wine, soft drinks, and chocolate to high-tech products like automobiles and drones.

The new facility represents part of Liaoning’s efforts to build links with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, and deepen economic and trade ties with CEEC.

A signing ceremony for a business partnership agreement between the CEEC Pavilion and the Latvian Commission of Tourism and Investment Development was also held the same day.
