Exhibition of Bai Sulan's paintings underway in Shenyang

An art exhibition of Bai Sulan’s works runs at the Shenyang Daily Art Gallery in Shenyang, Liaoning province, from Sept 12 to 16. A seminar explaining her works was held after the opening ceremony.

Hosted by LuXun Academy of Fine Arts and Shenyang Daily, the exhibition is to commemorate the 60th year of Bai's painting career.

Bai Sulan, born in 1942 in Heilongjiang province, began learning painting in Shenyang in 1958, and was a professor at LuXun Academy of Fine Arts. This is her first personal art exhibition.

More than 120 pieces of work from different periods are displayed at the gallery.
