Art exhibition underway at Liaoning museum

A visitor views paintings at an exhibition underway at Liaoning Provincial Museum in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, on Sept 4. The landscape paintings on display are the work of Hou Beiren, a Liaoning-born painter now living in the United States, and two of his students. A total of 86 paintings are on display, and 22 of them will be donated to the museum following the conclusion of the exhibition on Oct 14. Since 2010, Hou has donated more than 160 painting and calligraphy works to the museum. [Photo/Xinhua]
