Boating competitions to be held in Shenyang

The first boating competition to take place in Shenyang, Liaoning province, will be held on Sept 22, according to a news conference held in Hunnan district on Aug 28.

Running three days, the competition will include more than 10 events, including quadruple sculls and double sculls competitions.

The ninth Shenyang dragon boat competition will also be held during the event.

Nearly 200 rowing participants and 300 dragon boat crew members from all over the world, including France, Japan, Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, are expected to participate in the event.

The competitions will be held on the city’s Hunhe River, starting at the Olympic Park in Hunnan district.
