Innovation and entrepreneurship contest opens in Shenyang

The seventh China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (Liaoning Division) and the sixth Liaoning Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition opened at Shenyang High-tech Zone, Liaoning province, on Aug 15.

A total of 896 projects took part in the competition, 123 of which made it through to the competition in Shenyang on Aug 15, following initial evaluation and local competitions.

The first competition involved projects in the advanced manufacturing industry, with competitions in sectors including new energy and energy conservation, the internet, new materials, electronic information, and biomedicine due to take place from Aug 16 to 22.

Companies which win the competitions will take part in the national games representing Liaoning province.

Over the past five years, a large number of technology companies in Liaoning province have participated in the event, promoting the transformation of technology achievements in the province.

Guided by the country’s Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education, the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, and All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition has been held on six occasions since 2012. It has become the largest, highest-profile and most influential innovation and entrepreneurship event in China.
