Shenyang to host China Top 500 Private Enterprises Summit

The 2018 China Top 500 Private Enterprises Summit will take place in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, from Aug 29 to 31, according to a press conference held in Beijing on Aug 2.

The event is hosted by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and Liaoning Provincial People’s Government, during which a list and report of top 500 private enterprises in the country will be released.

Zhao Dejiang, secretary general of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, introduced that the federation has conducted annual research and investigation of the country’s large and medium-sized private companies since 1999, aiming to learn more about their development.

The summit has become an important platform for private companies to participate in regional economic development.

Around 1,000 people are expected to participate in this year’s event, including representatives from private companies and officials from related departments.

Several forums will take place during the three days, covering areas such as financial services, poverty relief, environmental protection, and pollution prevention.

In addition, representatives from some Fortune 500 companies will hold meetings with private entrepreneurs in the country, to give suggestions for the development of the private sector in Liaoning province and in the country.
