The second Shenyang-Taiwan agricultural cooperation forum was held in Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning province, from July 16 to 18.
Around 100 participants from Shenyang and Taiwan took part in the three-day forum, including agricultural entrepreneurs, experts and officials.
With a focus on health, industry integration and innovation, the event mainly focused on fine and deep processing of agricultural products.
At the forum, participants discussed a variety of current industry topics, including food safety, the ways in which agriculture is changing, and technological innovation.
The two sides signed agreements on five projects, including one related to the production of traditional medicines made with ginseng and antlers.
In addition, representatives from Taiwan also visited a number of plants in Shenyang to seek further cooperation agreements.
The forum was organized by the Taiwan affairs office of Shenyang municipal people’s government, the rural economy commission of Shenyang government, and Shenyang science and technology bureau.
