The second China Shenyang International Chorus Festival will open in Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on July 25.
The event is hosted by the Shenyang municipal people’s government and the China Chorus Association.
A total of 50 choruses from all over the world will attend the festival, of which 42 are from China’s 14 cities and eight from seven foreign countries, including Russia, Spain and Thailand.
During the festival, 12 major activities will take place, including charity performances, chorus training classes and special concerts.
The event will continue until July 28.
Zhang Xianhong, deputy director of Shenyang municipal bureau of culture, radio, film, television, press and publication, said that the event will help promote the development of choral performances in Shenyang and enrich the daily lives of local residents.
