Recommended sites: Shenyang Imperial Palace, Fuling Tomb of the Qing Dynasty, Zhaoling Tomb of the Qing Dynasty, the Khan's Palace.

Built during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), Shenyang Imperial Palace is one of the two best-preserved palace complexes in China, the other being the Forbidden City in Beijing. Shenyang Imperial Palace was placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in July 2004.

Fuling Tomb, also known as Dongling Park, is the mausoleum of Nurhachi, founding emperor of the Qing Dynasty, and his wife, and once served as the main site of ritual ceremonies performed by the Qing imperial family.

In the northern part of Shenyang, Zhaoling Tomb is the burial place of Huang Taiji (1592-1643), the second Qing emperor, and his wife.

The Khan's Palace is considered the final resting place of Nurhachi and his numerous wives.
