Food safety week opens in Shenyang

With a slogan of “food safety makes life better”, the 2018 Liaoning and Shenyang food safety promotion week opened in Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on July 17.

Hosted by the province’s office of food safety commission, the event was organized by 17 related departments.

More than 100 people attended the opening ceremony, including representatives from food companies, volunteers, and government officials.

During the event, food safety promotion activities will be held in communities, companies, schools, and villages, to raise people’s awareness of the importance of food safety.

Competitions will also be held to test people’s knowledge of food safety.

In addition, consultation services and food safety publicity materials will be provided to attendees at the opening ceremony.

The event will conclude on July 29.
