Shenyang to host 7th AOPA intl flight convention

The seventh Shenyang Faku AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of China) International Flight Convention will be held from August 18 to 20 in Faku county, Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning province, according to a press conference held by Shenyang municipal people’s government information office on July 11.

The event will be held at the Shenyang general aviation industrial base in Faku, with participation by representatives from over 100 general aviation companies all around the world, as well as by teams working on unmanned aircraft.

During the event, a drone display hall, an aviation experience hall, an aircraft materials exhibition, and themed activity areas will be set up to display new type of drones, unmanned vessels and vehicles, and materials for unmanned aircraft.

An application and development summit forum on unmanned aircraft will also he held to promote their development.

Low-altitude airshows and sightseeing above Caihu Lake will also be available to visitors during the event, according to Chen Dawei, director of Faku county,

In addition, activities such as displays by military aircraft, exhibitions of general aviation aircraft, helicopter flight demonstrations, a summit forum on the construction and development of the general aviation town in Faku, and meetings between purchasers and suppliers will take place.

The Shenyang general aviation industrial base has China’s first airspace designated especially for drones, and is accelerating construction of a public service platform for drones, with plans to build mid and low-altitude wind tunnel laboratories, a drone testing center, a drone big data center, and a drone logistics demonstration base.
