Hunhe River Symphony Festival seminar held in Shenyang

A seminar on the recently concluded 4th Hunhe River Symphony Festival was held at the Yunyang Pavillion in Shenshuiwan Park in Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on July 11.

The seminar mainly focused on two major topics, namely how to expand the festival’s influence and what to learn from the event, which concluded on July 4 and has been deemed a success by organizers.

Participants at the seminar pointed out that the Shenyang government should attach much importance to the development of music in the city, as it is felt that inviting professional symphony orchestras to play or training their own can bring benefits to the development of culture in the city as a whole.

The symphony festival is an annual effort by the Shenyang government to increase its cultural influence.

The festival has in its four years of running become a big success, attracting large audiences.

Attendees at the seminar included scholars, musicians, local government officials and journalists.
