A concert was staged at Shengjing Grand Theatre in Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning province, June 20 to mark the conclusion of the seventh Chinese and foreign music and culture exchange festival.
Jointly hosted by the city’s publicity department and Shenyang Conservatory of Music, the festival started April 18 and lasted more than two months.
At the concert, teachers and students from Shenyang Conservatory of Music performed more than 10 songs for visitors.
During this year’s festival, artists and scholars from countries including the United States, Britain, France, Russia and Spain joined musicians from China’s music academies, including the Central Conservatory of Music and Shanghai Conservatory of Music, hosting more than 50 concerts and over 40 seminars, competitions and public classes.
The festival is a significant platform for the world to learn about China’s music and culture, as well as a way for Shenyang residents to enrich their lives, according to a director from Shenyang Conservatory of Music.
