Liaoning sees growth in tourism over holiday

Liaoning province, in Northeast China, saw growth both in terms of tourist numbers and tourism income during the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday, with 9.41 million tourists and income of 5.07 billion yuan ($783.4 million), up more than 15 percent respectively compared to the same period in 2017.

A total of 2.53 million passengers passed through Shenyang Railway Station in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province over the three days, an average of 840,000 per day –– representing year-on-year growth of 3 percent.
