An exhibition of artwork by primary and secondary school students opened at Shenyang Daily’s art gallery in Shenyang, Liaoning province, on May 31.
The artworks on display were selected for the exhibition following a competition hosted by Shenyang’s education bureau. By organizing the competition, the bureau aimed to give students a chance to showcase their works and help inspire their creativity.
More than 20,000 entries were submitted to the education bureau, with 3,900 eventually selected. The artworks put on display represents just a selection of works from the 3,900 pieces chosen during the competition.
Works submitted by students faced rigorous scrutiny by knowledgeable judges, including experts from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, members of Liaoning’s calligraphers association and art teachers from the city’s primary and secondary schools.
