Spring Festival celebration entertains Pingyao

A celebration ceremony for Chinese New Year is held in Pingyao county on Jan 28. Initiated in 2006, the annual Spring Festival celebration event in Pingyao has been held for 13 consecutive years and is attracting increasing numbers of travelers to the county. The number of visitors to the Ancient City of Pingyao during the Spring Festival holiday increased to 1.38 million in 2018 from 100,000 in 2006. [Photo/pingyao.gov.cn]
