Pingyao paintings to be displayed in Shanghai

A Pingyao-themed oil painting exhibition will open in Shanghai on May 10 to further Shanghai residents understanding of Pingyao and highlight the ancient city's culture.

The exhibition is being organized by Pingyao International Painting Communication Center, Liu Haisu Art Museum and the Chinese Art Investment Association. More than 50 oil paintings by six artists which were created in the Ancient City of Pingyao will be on display, showcasing the local Buddhist culture, Shanxi merchants and rural areas.

The event is being held in a branch of Liu Haisu Art Museum and will last until May 27.
