Su Lisuo, a photographer from the city of Ruian, Zhejiang province, says that this is his second visit to the China Pingyao International Photography Festival, in the city of Pingyao, Shanxi province, and that last year, his sand art made him the focus of the media, which many photographers have seen.

Su goes on to say, “No matter where you go here the service is getting much better thanks to the photography festival, and it’s feeling more like a metropolis than a county here,” then adds that what impresses him most is that the service is more comprehensive and that volunteers offer help and staff members will solve any problem.

He says that this year he’s bringing a work called “Zao Ji” and he’s seen the influence of the Photography Festival and, “As photographers, we usually hide behind the camera, but in Pingyao, we’re standing in front of the public for the first time and communicating with the audience to introduce our work so this is a very good opportunity.”

In Su’s view, this is the “metropolis” charm of the Pingyao festival, and the local people’s way of thinking is changing with the festival.
