A group of taxi drivers in the city of Datong, Shanxi province, decided to give some elderly people a free visit to memorable sites around the city, for China's Double Ninth Festival, which is also Seniors Day. This year, the festival came on Oct 2 and the generous drivers took a crowd of senior citizens from the city's University for the Elderly to volcanic clusters, a national geo-park.

In fact, the team of drivers have been providing free tours for the elderly around festival time, since 2004, to let them enjoy the landscape and urban changes and to promote public awareness of the need to care for the elderly.
