The city of Datong, Shanxi province has decided to leave behind its heavily polluted past with dirty coal to transform itself into a livable city and, thanks to some landscape changes over the past decade, has taken on a new look, but that's not the only thing that has changed -- people's feelings about their home have changed as well.

And, to document the positive changes, dtnews.cn has hosted a 'Loving Home, City, and Livelihood' activity and solicited photographs from local people that are expected to reflect the new look, environmental improvements, and repairs to older parts of the city, showing their home from as unique an angle as possible.

The photographs can be in color or black and white and there's no specific equipment that has to be used – with both smart phone and top-notch camera acceptable.
