Organizers of this year's China (Datong) International Auto Culture Festival announced the theme in the city of Datong, Shanxi province, on July 23, with the winner being -- "Famous autos, famous city, beautiful Datong".

Hosts of the auto festival, which is scheduled for Aug 23 to 28, in Guancheng, Wengcheng, Yuecheng, and Ercheng of Datong’s South Wall area are the Datong municipal government and the China National Automotive Industry International Corp (CNAICO).

The theme is meant to present a new development concept in Datong, as the nation's historic city. With its history and culture, it is slowly developing its tourism industry for a greater harmony (the meaning of the city's name in Chinese).
