The Datong Forum, an important business platform project and a part of the culture development strategy “Chinese Ancient Capital, Datong in the world”, began on April 29.

The project places importance in the construction of forestry and ecological tourism scenic spots, whose first phase is set to be put into use in 2013 when the Solar Decathlon is held.

The project is located close to the Yudong new developed area, the future Datong center. Fujian Longde Group has an investment of over 3 billion yuan ($476 million) in the project, which covers an area of more than 270 hectares.

The comprehensive cultural and tourism project allows business meetings, sports, leisure, vacation, entertainment, and training.

The project is expected to become a connection between economy and industry development with its investment function and will enhance economic growth in Datong.

It will serve as a new service area for Datong’s industry development and local people, providing comprehensive, ecological and high-end services.
