Datong, the famous historical city of the Shanxi province has recently received a considerable investment of 3.6 billion yuan ($571 million) due to its unique geographical advantages and favorable business environment.

Yifeng International Investment Co is a large multinational firm that has decided to set up a trade center in Datong as its Shanxi business headquarters.

The trade center will cover 700,000 square meters and is designed for various purposes. This includes shopping, restaurants, entertainment, working as well as exhibition halls, storehouses and logistics. It will establish itself as the largest trade center in the North China area.

Geng Yanbo, the city mayor, and Huang Xianming, chairman of the board of Yifeng signed an agreement for this strategic cooperation. Geng said that the economic cooperation with Yifeng will help Datong attain effective progress in development and bring about mutual benefits.
