An art exhibition opened at the Linfen Calligraphy and Painting Art Gallery in Linfen, North China’s Shanxi province, on Sept 15. As a warm-up activity for the 2018 Shanxi Tourism Development Conference, which will be held in Linfen from Sept 19 to 21, the 20-day exhibition was hosted by the event’s organizing committee, displaying calligraphy and paintings depicting scenery and culture of Shanxi province.
Works on display are from around 200 artists across the country.
The exhibition provides visitors a platform to appreciate the beautiful scenery and long history of Linfen city, according to Li Zhaoqi, director of Linfen’s publicity department.
It also links traditional culture with tourism to the city, and is an important warm-up for the upcoming tourism development conference.
