The 2018 Taiyuan International Marathon is coming on Sept 8 with 30,000 runners to participate in the event.
The event will consist of three parts, a full marathon (42.195 kilometers), half marathon (21.0975 km), and mini marathon (4.2195 km) for participants of varying abilities.
This year's marathon was the first one to have recruited volunteers from the public, around 2,200 people in total, and will use face recognition for checking runners' attendance.
To better serve the runners during the marathon, the organizing committee has prepared more food and drinks and recruited runners who are doctors.
