A porcelain painting exhibition opened in Taiyuan Art Museum on Aug 8 with more than 100 artworks by over 50 cartoonists on display.
Porcelain cartoon painting first appeared in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), which was the earliest cartoon artwork in the history of Chinese art. The exhibition is an exploration in the innovative development of ceramics art and cartoons.
A Ceramics Art and Culture Commission under the Shanxi Arts and Crafts Association was also founded on the same day.
