An artificial intelligence (AI) database industrial project supported by Chinese internet giant Baidu was settled in Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone, on June 28.
The project, which is located in the zone's Tanghui Industrial Park, consists of office buildings with floorage of 3,000 square meters accommodating a maximum of 1,000 people. Baidu will establish a data-tagging industrial cluster as the data-tagging sector has been a pillar of the AI industry.
Startup companies in the data-tagging sector will be developed during the first phase of the project. Next, Baidu will attract partners in the data-tagging sector to invest in the project, bringing more companies engaged in the internet of things and information modeling sectors to the demonstration area, and incubating more innovative businesses in order to boost AI development and employment in Shanxi province.
