A managed services center for agricultural production sponsored by a farmers' cooperative has recently been founded in Tunliu county, Changzhi city, becoming the first county-level one of its kind in Shanxi province.
The managed services center represents a method of outsourcing for improving operations and cutting expenses in agricultural production.
Tunliu county was chosen as the only pilot county for agricultural production managed services in Changzhi city in July 2017.
Since then, the county has promoted whole-course managed services, managed services in order for goods and labor and invested 4.2 million yuan ($662,355). The farmland under managed services amounted to 3444.2 hectares with income per mu (around 0.07 hectare) adding 260 yuan on average.
The managed services center for agricultural production will integrate local agricultural resources and establish a regional comprehensive service platform for agricultural materials, technologies, machinery, and farm produce marketing –– benefiting farmers in the county.
