A Shanxi Branded Products Exhibition Center was founded in Budapest, capital of Hungary, on Dec 13, displaying more than 800 kinds of Shanxi-made branded products in fields including machinery, household electrical appliances, and household furnishings.
In recent years, China and Hungary have been exploring the potential for a deeper partnership between the two sides. The founding of the center will further the two country's economic relationship and create more opportunities for collaboration between businesses, according to István Lepsényi, the deputy State Secretary for Economic Development and Regulation of Hungary, at the inauguration for the center.
"We hope that Hungarian entrepreneurs can learn about Shanxi through our products and invest in Shanxi," said Li Zhisheng, deputy director of Shanxi Department of Commerce.
"Shanxi businesses are also expected to establish partnerships with Hungarian companies and expand their operations in the country," he added.
Dozens of representatives from the Embassy of China in Hungary, Chinacham Hungary, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Pest County, Hungary, attended the founding ceremony.
The center is in Budapest's Central European Trade and Logistics Cooperation Zone, which serves as an area for product exhibition and overseas warehousing and distribution and China's first overseas business cooperation zone for trade and logistics in Europe. The zone has established a platform for Chinese companies entering the European market.
