Hanergy, a multinational clean energy company, will build a mobile energy industrial park in Taiyuan, as Shanxi authorities and the company signed an agreement on Dec 13 in Beijing.

The industrial park, which is expected to be finished in three years, will focus on thin-film solar cell module production and the manufacturing of solar-powered vehicles.

By introducing high-tech projects with industrial funds and investment, the park will foster the photovoltaic power industry in Taiyuan and across Shanxi province where the clean energy industry has been encouraged in recent years.

"We will expand and improve business at the mobile energy industrial park so as to add new drive to innovation, industrial transformation and economic growth in Shanxi," said Li Hejun, chairman of Hanergy.

Hanergy Holding Group, which is headquartered in Beijing, has branches all over China and countries in North and South America, Europe and Africa with operations covering hydropower, wind power and thin-film solar power.

An official delegation led by Lou Yangsheng, governor of Shanxi, inspected the company before the signing ceremony, expressing Shanxi's support for Hanergy in the construction of the park and business expansion in the province.
