The 16th annual meeting of the Chinese Collegial Association for Visual Art (CCAVA) was held at the Communication University of Shanxi from Oct 22 to 23, with discussion focusing on the outlook for the film and television industry.
During the two-day conference, 16 different forums centered on hot issues in the industry, such as how to deliver education and encourage creativity, took place to discuss future development in the era of the Internet Plus strategy –– the Internet combined with traditional industries.

In a change to previous years, academic periodicals and magazines were invited to join in the discussions this year, according to Hu Zhifeng, the president of CCAVA. A forum was specially designated to allow these publications to interact with readers and writers face to face.
In addition, CCAVA, China Television Drama Production Industry Association and Communication University of China Press signed an agreement for further cooperation on related business at the opening ceremony.

More than 550 people from 156 universities and research institutes attended the event.
CCAVA, founded in 1983, is a society committed to theory research, education, international communication and the training of media professionals. There have been some 500 members in the institute so far.
