Thirty Internet companies, including Alibaba and JD.com, have decided to settle at Emperor Penguin, an innovation incubator for e-commerce in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, as of Oct 7.

Focusing on developing modern education, tourism, trade and logistics, Emperor Penguin will set up a service platform for entrepreneurship and innovation based on the combination of Internet and traditional industries, said Gao Na, founder of the incubator.

To attract more groups and individuals, the innovation park offers several preferential policies, such as free office facilities, unpaid loan guarantees and subsidies for management.

Leading enterprises in the e-business industry will enjoy rent-free office areas. For other companies approved by the Taiyuan government in the incubation park, the rent for the first year is exempted.

As for doctors, masters and bachelors engaged in technological innovation projects, financial aid from 10,000 to 30,000 yuan ($4,473) will be provided.

Emperor Penguin will officially open in October. Its main building is 25 stories high and covers a floor area of 31,250 square meters.
